Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks Disappointed to Announce Cancellation of May 13th Game

Wenatchee, Washington - The Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks are deeply disappointed to announce the cancellation of their highly anticipated game against California Gold on May 13th. California Gold has informed the team that they will be unable to participate in the matchup due to unforeseen circumstances, leaving the Skyhawks without an opponent.
"We share in the frustration of our fans and our building that we will not be able to play against California Gold," said Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks Head Coach, Rico Brown. "We were really looking forward to this game, and we understand how important it was to our fans and to the American West Football Conference (AWFC) schedule."
Despite their efforts to find a replacement opponent, the Skyhawks were unable to secure a new matchup for May 13th. The team is now working with the AWFC to determine how to move forward and reschedule the game if possible. "We appreciate the understanding and patience of our fans and our building during this difficult time," added ~ Assist General Manager Lyndsey Crain. "We want to assure our fans that we are committed to providing them with exciting and competitive matchups, and we regret that we were not able to do so on May 13th," added President Theo Hall. "We are looking forward to upcoming games against Sin City Govs (Las Vegas) June 3rd and Oregon High Desert Storm June 10th.”
The Skyhawks appreciate the patience and understanding of their fans during this difficult time and will continue to work hard to provide them with an exceptional game-day experience.
