Chris Rutter is a Louisiana native that was transplanted into the Pacific Northwest. Having played at

Scio High School in Scio, Oregon).   He was recruited to played college football at a few smaller

schools, but decided to go into the army instead. While he stationed in Germany, he started playing

football overseas with the Fischbach Fire.

After his military career, he started his Minor League Career with the National Nine Man Football

League with the Eugene Knights.

Once his playing days were over, he started his coaching Career. First as the Head Coach of the

NNFL’s Polk Pioneers, leading them to a 42-4 record after 4 seasons, with 3 NNFL championships

and 2 coach of the year honors. Decided to take a few years off, then came back to the NNFL as

the Benton Bulldawgs Quality Control coach, and helped them get to the NNFL championship. The

league commissioner asked him to bring back his Polk Pioneers teams, so Chris took them to the

NNFL championship game again. After this season, the South Lane Buzzards of the Pacific

Northwest Football League asked him to be their Head Coach, and Chris Rutter again helped lead

the Buzzards to another PNFL championship. Chris Rutter also served for 2 games as the interim

Head Coach of the Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks. Chris Rutter loves to help assist different

programs to become the best that they can be.

On Working with the Wenatchee Skyhawks and the AWFC:

I was asked to help out the Skyhawks in the 2021 season, due to the issues they had due to Covid

and after considering everything, took a chance to help this organization out. This league is a good

place for guys to go to get their feet in the door to other leagues and also gives them a chance to

play ball with some top tier athletes across Washington, Oregon, California, and Idaho. I’m excited to

help this team become the absolute best by sending the top tier talent from across Oregon and

Washington! Having been around a lot of the guys from a lot of the teams, I think I can help grow

the Skyhawks brand into a powerhouse football team! Go Hawks!
